Eligibility Criteria
Students who wish to apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2025 must meet the following eligibility conditions:
- The applicant must be between 21-24 years old and unemployed.
- The student must not be enrolled in any full-time course.
- The student must not be a full-time employee in any government or private sector job.
- The annual income of the family members must be less than ₹8 lakh.
- None of the family members should be a government employee.
- The student must have completed 10th / 12th / ITI / Diploma, or Graduation (General Degree Courses).

Benefits of the PM Internship Scheme 2025
The students selected for the PM Internship Scheme 2025 will receive the following benefits:
- Opportunity to gain real-world work experience in top companies across India for 12 months.
- Monthly financial assistance of ₹4,500 from the Government of India, which will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
- An additional ₹500 will be paid by the industry where the student gets placed for an internship, making the total ₹5,000 per month.
- A one-time grant of ₹6,000 will be also be provided upon getting selected for the internship.
- Free insurance coverage will be provided under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.

How to Apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2025?
Follow these step-by-step instructions to apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2025:
Step 1: Visit the Official Website

- Choose your preferred language by clicking on “English” and selecting from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Register on the Portal
- Click on “Youth Registration” and enter your mobile number.
- Click “Get OTP”, enter the 6-digit OTP received via SMS, and submit.
- Create a password of your choice and click “Register”.

- After logging in, complete E-KYC by providing your Aadhaar number and OTP verification.

How Are Students Selected for the PM Internship Scheme?
After successful registration, students go through the following selection process:
- Company Shortlisting: Companies review the submitted applications and shortlist students based on their provided details.
- Notification of Selection: If selected, students receive an email notification and a message in the “Internship Opportunities” section on the portal.
- Internship Placement: The student accepts the offer, joins the company physically, completes the 12-month internship while receiving a monthly stipend.
