Recent Payments: 15th Installment Released in December 2024

In December 2024, the Karnataka government credited the 15th installment, corresponding to October 2024, into the bank accounts of eligible women across the state. However, the 16th and 17th installments, corresponding to November & December 2024, were delayed for the past two months, and there were no official updates from the government.

This delay caused concern among beneficiaries, as many families depend on this financial aid for their monthly expenses.

Official Update from CM Siddaramaiah & Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar

CM Siddaramaiah and Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar recently addressed the delay in releasing the 16th & 17th installments. Minister Hebbalkar explained that the delay occurred because she had met with a road accident and was on bed rest for some time. This led to a temporary gap in communication with the finance department, which was responsible for processing the payments.

Additionally, the Women and Child Development Department implemented some changes in the process of transferring the Gruhalakshmi payments to beneficiaries.

However, Minister Hebbalkar assured that the issues have now been resolved, and the department has already received the required funds from the Finance Department. She confirmed that the 16th & 17th installments will be credited to beneficiaries bank accounts within the next 7 to 10 days.

Government’s Strong Assurance on Gruhalakshmi and Other Guarantee Schemes

CM Siddaramaiah has once again assured the people of Karnataka that the state government remains fully committed to continuing all five major guarantee schemes, including the Gruhalakshmi Scheme. He stated that these schemes will not be discontinued under any circumstances.

Additionally, CM Siddaramaiah urged the public not to believe the false information circulating online about the cancellation of guarantee schemes or claims that the government is facing a financial crisis. He emphasized that these rumors are completely false, and the delay in the Gruhalakshmi installment release was due to other factors, not a lack of funds.

This statement from the Chief Minister provides clarity and reassurance to beneficiaries, confirming that the government is committed to supporting them through these essential schemes.

Gruhalakshmi 16th & 17th Installment Release Date?

As confirmed by CM Siddaramaiah and Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar on February 21, 2025, the Gruhalakshmi 16th & 17th installment amount of ₹4,000 will be credited within one week to 10 days directly to beneficiaries bank accounts.

Once these installments are credited, the 18th installment, corresponding to January 2025, will also be released soon.
